TRAINING SCHEDULE

AN INTRODUCTION TO OUR TRAINING

At Karatedo Doshinkan, we view karate as much more than physical training or a competitive sport. It is a traditional Japanese martial art that embraces the development of the whole person – body, mind, and character.

At the heart of our training is the preservation and transmission of traditional Karatedo techniques and kata that have been passed down through generations of teachers and masters. Through regular practice, we develop strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and a deeper understanding of our own movements. The physical training challenges us, helping us discover our limits and grow beyond them.

At the same time, Karatedo Doshinkan means more than learning techniques. It is a path of personal development – the way of Budō. Through training, we cultivate discipline, patience, concentration, and respectful interaction with others. The goal is not victory over others, but the continuous improvement of oneself.

An important aspect of the Japanese Budō tradition is the understanding that our focus should not be directed solely toward ourselves, but also toward the people and environment around us. Values such as respect, consideration, courtesy, and responsibility toward the community play a central role. Through Karatedo, we strive to understand these traditional Japanese principles and apply them in our daily lives.

This journey is not about achieving perfection. Each person follows their own path and progresses at their own pace. Training provides us with the motivation to continually work on ourselves – physically, mentally, and as human beings.
